Bellewood to “Stand for Children” in Bowling Green
Bellewood Home for Children will take part in the Stand for Children Day, Wednesday, June 20 in Bowling Green. The Bowling Green Ballpark, home to the Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods baseball team, will host the event from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
Bellewood’s booth will have a putting green and cornhole for attendees, as well as stuffed animal giveaways. A limited number of free miniature golf passes donated by Otte Golf Center will also be available.
This year’s event will feature many activities for children and adults, as Bowling Green celebrates services for families and children. Stand For Children is organized by Community Education, a group of citizens and civic leaders that facilitate community collaboration and provide needed services at low cost to community members.
“It brings the community’s focus back to children. We always care about children of course, but it’s a very intentional time for everyone in the community to focus on what children need to have a good start in life,” said Debi Wade Jordan, the Executive Director for Community Education in a previous statement.
The 2012 event is sponsored by American Bank & Trust and the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club.
