Employee Benefits

Bellewood proudly offers a substantial, comprehensive benefits package to our full-time employees. We provide a number of solid options that help ensure the health and financial security of our employees.

HEALTHCARE

Humana is the current healthcare provider. We offer a choice of two plans to meet your individual insurance needs. You may elect to have coverage for yourself, spouse and/or children.

DENTAL

We currently offer Delta Dental of Kentucky, Preferred Choice plan. Coverage may be elected for employee, employee plus one (dependent or spouse), and employee plus two or more (family).

VISION PLAN

The vision provider is Humana with two plans offered.

LIFE INSURANCE

We offer a life insurance policy as long as you are a full time employee here. The benefit is the amount of your annual salary rounded up to the nearest $1,000. AD&D is the same amount as life insurance. These plans are 100% paid by Bellewood.

PENSION

Bellewood has Defined Benefit Pension Plan. This requires no contribution from the employee. An employee becomes eligible after one year of full time service and 1,000 hours worked. After five years of full time employment, you are 100% vested.

You may also participate in Roth IRA or a Traditional IRA through Mutual of America.

CAFETERIA PLAN

Bellewood’s medical and dental benefits are pre-taxed. AFLAC administers the Section 125 Cafeteria plan for Bellewood, which also includes two flexible spending accounts.

SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE

Bellewood is pleased to offer supplemental insurance plans as well. You will receive information concerning AFLAC and also offer supplemental life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance from CIGNA.

SHORT AND LONG TERM DISABILITY

After one year of continuous service to Bellewood, all full-time employees are eligible for Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability. The benefit amount is equal to 66.67% of salary. Both plans are 100% paid by Bellewood.

HOLIDAYS

Bellewood offers nine days of paid holiday time and an additional floating holiday.

PAID SICK TIME AND EMERGENCY

Bellewood will compensate for 80 hours of sick time per year. Twenty-four hours of Emergency Time Off is also available to employees for any compelling personal reason.

VACATION

Vacation accruals are determined by position. You must be employed for 6 months to begin using paid vacation.

TUITION ASSISTANCE

Employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement after 6 months of full-time employment. Payment can be approved for up to 70% of tuition up to a maximum of $900 per semester.

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Bellewood offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to employees and their dependents at no charge. This confidential counseling service for emotional, financial and crisis situations is handled through Wayne Associates. An employee may also be referred to the EAP for ongoing performance problems.
